Claudia is nearly twelve when she decides to run away with her nine-year-old brother Jamie because she is bored. She chooses the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City a place that is comfortable and beautiful. Once settled into the museum, Claudia and Jamie find themselves caught up in the mystery of an angel statue that could be an early work of the Michelangelo. Claudia is determined to find out.
