Fourth-grader Kenny Watson older brother starts to get into so much trouble his parents decide to take him back "home" to Birmingham, Alabama, to stay with his strong and strict grandmother who will teach him some sense. So the family leaves Flint, Michigan and drives south during the civil right movement. Grades 5-8
